Next month, Slovenia will be the first country to have a 3 Euro coin! It will only be a legal tender in Slovenia. Here are the images:

Bart, that Slovenian bimetal 3 Euros is commemorating the Slovenian presidency of the E.U..I reckon that it will be a medal-coin - being sold for more than 3 Euros.

I've checked out some other forums, and the word goes that it actually will be a legal tender.

Bart, does this mean that you can pick it up at its face value of 3 Euros,or is it being sold at a slight premium above the face value? If it is being sold at a premium above face value, then it is a legal tender medal-coin.
Aidan.

I have no idea Aidan. I've tried contacting the bank of Slovenia, but the contact form on the website doesn't seem to work. So I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I didn't find any images, but I do have this:
500 years birth of Primoz Trubar: 2 euro: 1.000.000 pieces (of which 50.000 proof)
Presidency of EU: 100 euro (gold): 2000 pieces 30 euro (silver): 5000 pieces 3 euro (bimetal): 200.000 pieces (of which 2000 proof, 150.000 special, 48.000 ordinary)
250 years birth of Valentin Vodnik: 100 euro (gold): 2000 pieces 30 euro (silver): 5000 pieces
Official sets 2008: 150.000
The 2 euro will be sold at face value. Price of other coins and date of issue hasn't been set yet. Best regards
